Harvey stops in Cold Spring

Photos by Stuart Bayer

The historic fireboat John J. Harvey takes on passengers while docked
at the Cold Spring waterfront Aug. 12, 2004. The boat is sailing the
Hudson River in support of its "Blue Links" campaign to resuscitate and
rebuild waterfront infrastructure, including promenades, docks and vessel
landings. The campaign is co-sponsored by the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance
and Save Our Ships New York organizations. The boat was built in 1931 and
remained in service with the New York Fire Department until 1994.
